One of those questions we regularly get asked by those of you just starting out is how do I setup my bike trainer stand?
First of all, congratulations on getting serious about taking on an indoor trainer! Hopefully with the tips and reviews we can provide you on this site you’ll be able to make the right choice for your budget and your training level.
Exciting times, believe me!

And perhaps a little daunting, right? It looks fairly simple to setup, but am I really going to be able to get my bike attached to my trainer so quickly? Well, yes! Yes you are! Some trainers might have a very dodgy instruction manual (or leaflet, to be more precise!), but the overall goal is the same for most trainers, regardless of the instructions you might come across in the box.
So, to ease those doubts, here’s a couple of videos for you that highlight how to setup your indoor trainer (and don’t miss this read if you’re confused about how to insert the rear skewer that comes with many trainers). And yes, it really is that simple and relatively painless…and in case you were wondering, the top video features one of our fave trainers, the CycleOps Fluid 2, the one below it features the CycleOps Magneto.
