If you’re anything like me, then you sit at a desk for close to 8 hours a day and don’t really move around much most of the week. Even with Corona hitting hard, that desk has still seen plenty of work-from-home action!
All well and good if I went out and exercised, but I don’t (I know, I know). I’m guessing some of you reading this don’t, either. Well, when I found the DeskCycle pedal exerciser, I knew I’d found a great way to get good exercise without disrupting my work or the work of those around me!
Thanks to my DeskCycle desk bike, now I’m bringing a set of shorts to work with me too so I can work out while working. Good, eh? And to be honest with you, ever since I’ve hand my hands on this exerciser, I genuinely feel a lot healthier.

Why you should consider the DeskCycle Exerciser
I think the first thing which must be mentioned is the low pedal height. Because the pedals on this under the desk bike are literally only 8 inches from the ground, it can be set up almost anywhere, even beneath your desk. More important than that though, the compact size of the machine overall allows it to be set up seamlessly just about anywhere you might want.
While all exercise is about training through resistance, working against different types of resistance can yield different results. The magnetic resistance system in this mini pedal exerciser beats out friction resistance for a few reasons. First, it doesn’t make nearly as much noise. This is great news for me, but more for the people I work at home with – my family – who don’t have to listen to rattling metal when I want to exercise. This machine really is quiet and that’s another reason I like it so much.
Exercise systems which utilize magnetic resistance are also easier to get going from an inactive state and keep going once the user has found their rhythm. I notice it’s much easier to push off on those first few pedals and that’s just fine with me. If you’re not a fan of that, you can always ramp up the resistance and make it murder on your legs just to get started, as if you were riding a traditional bike. This pedal exerciser will still barely make a noise.
Now I’m a taller guy, so I think I should mention something else too. When I’m using this pedal system I have to sit pretty far back in my seat and even push the chair back several inches to make room for my legs beneath my desk. So I think this product would work even better for someone shorter than me.
Because this pedal exerciser works both forward and backward, you can pedal it either way and work out different muscle groups in your legs with the same machine – without making a single adjustment. I’ve been more than impressed with my purchase and I think if you’re looking for something to exercise while at work, the DeskCycle mini pedal exerciser could be exactly what you’re seeking.
I’m also tempted to give up on my stationary bike trainer after finding this thing. It’s great around the office or those of you working remotely, or as a gift for someone else you know who happens to be stuck behind a desk all day. I know that a friend who purchased this, convinced another three of her office colleagues to also buy – and now they’re at it daily, pedaling away while typing away at their desks!
The only bum note is that no matter how hard you pedal, you’ll still be stuck at your desk. 🙂

The DeskCycle – Bang for your buck?
Well, the DeskCycle Exerciser is NOT the cheapest option out there, coming in typically at the $180 mark, but it is a superb option for those of you wishing to workout at your desk. Or when watching TV. Or when simply kicking back and killing some time.
A couple of friends have also purchased this and been mightily impressed, and we’ve also become BIG fans! And if you needed any further social proof, check out some of the happy customers on Amazon (click the button below).
